Why filter ghee before you finally store it in a jar? This is an important know-how of ghee making at home. But knowing the process and its importance will let you learn the intricacy of ghee making.

Why filter ghee once you have completed ghee making? Ghee filtration is an important part of ghee-making, and used in small-scale homemaking and in commercial processes. It is a ghee-making phase that makes butter fat free from milk solids and gets burned during the slow cooking process of butter boiling.

  • Once you are done with filtering, it’s time you need to collect ghee in a jar.  You should keep the jar always in air-tight condition.
  • Glass jar is the best option for storing ghee. If you select a dark glassed jar for ghee storage, it will be a better option.
  • Place the ghee jar in the dark and dry corner of the kitchen shelf.
  • Do not keep a metallic spoon in the ghee.
  • Do not touch the ghee with your finger.
  • Do not insert a moist spoon inside the jar.
  • Never expose the ghee-jar under sunlight or in a moist environment.
