How ghee is made from Milk? Ghee is made from milk butter. It is a slow cooking process. In this process, butter is boiled consistently. The boiling butter method separates the milk solids and water from the butterfat. The butter is first melted and then simmered, which causes the milk solids to separate, and finally, lactose and casein of milk butter turn into ghee residue.
The solids are removed using a ghee strainer, leaving behind the pure butterfat in the ghee-making pot. The yellow color butter fat is known as ghee.
Proper storage is one of the vital factors in ghee-making from milk. you have to store ghee in an airtight jar with a closed lid. Pure ghee is shelf-stable, and you can preserve it without freezing support. The traditional process is used for a small amount of DIY ghee making. However, for commercial production, ghee commercial methods are employed.
