Can ghee be stored at room temperature? Yes, Ghee can be stored at room temperature, as it is clarified butter, and the milk solids have been removed, which makes it more stable at room temperature than regular butter. However, it’s important to note that the shelf life of ghee may vary depending on the temperature and humidity of the room. If a room is extra hot or over-humid, the ghee may become rancid faster than usual.
According to the standard ghee manufacturing rule, you should keep ghee under a temperature of 21 Degrees Celsius (69.8 degrees Fahrenheit).
It is generally recommended to store ghee in an airtight jar dark, dry, and cold corner of the kitchen store to ensure maximum freshness and to extend its storage life. If you want to keep ghee for a more extended period, please keep the container lid rightly placed and do not insert any moist spoon inside the jar.
